Welcome!
I began my career in professional photography as a teenager in high school and apprenticed with a local studio.
Twenty years later, I opened Photography by Theresa and had the privilege of photographing in the Cullman area for over 50 years. I placed my reputation in the joy of new birth, the excitement of senior photography, the celebration of the wedding day, and all the love that comes with families joining together.
I embraced the excitement of the digital world, and through technology, I began restoring faded old prints. I watched them come to life and bring joy to those who thought they were lost forever.
And though I am semi-retired today, I have the privilege of teaching the work I love to the newest members of the photography community as they begin their journey.
I have seen all the trends and changes that have evolved over a lifetime of work, but I stayed true to the traditional portrait—the one that continues to hang in the most cherished place of our home and holds the memory that will last us a lifetime through all of life's seasons.
